Job Responsibilities:
∎ Overseeing and managing safety-related activities and programs to ensure a safe and healthy work environment for all employees
∎ Responsible for establishing and implementing comprehensive safety policies and procedures that comply with local laws, industry regulations, and best practices. These policies should cover areas such as occupational health and safety, emergency preparedness, accident/incident reporting, hazard identification and control, and safety training.
∎ Ensuring that all companies within the workplace to adhere safety regulations and standards set by relevant authorities. This involves monitoring compliance, conducting regular audits and inspections and addressing any identified non-compliance issues.
∎ Conducting risk assessments to identify potential hazards and risks across various work environments and develop strategies and measures to mitigate those risks and minimize the potential for accidents, injuries, or illnesses.
∎ Designing and implementing safety training programs for employees at all levels of the organization. This includes providing training on topics such as hazard recognition, safe work practices, proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), emergency response procedures, and any other relevant safety-related training.
∎ Establishing incident reporting and investigation procedures to ensure that all accidents, incidents, near misses and occupational illnesses are promptly reported, investigated, and properly documented.
∎ Developing and maintaining emergency response plans for various types of emergencies, such as fires, natural disasters, medical emergencies, or security threats. Coordinate drills, establish communication protocols, and ensure employees are adequately trained and prepared to respond effectively during emergencies.
∎ Fostering a strong safety culture across the group of companies by promoting employee engagement, involvement, and awareness. This may involve organizing safety committees, conducting safety campaigns or initiatives, and recognizing and rewarding individuals or teams for their contributions to safety.
∎ Keeping abreast of relevant safety regulations, standards, and industry best practices, and ensuring that the group companies stay up to date with changes in the regulatory landscape. Ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to workplace safety and health.
∎ Working closely with various departments and stakeholders, such as Human Resources, Operations, Facilities, and Legal, to ensure that safety considerations are integrated into all aspects of the organization's activities. Collaborating with managers and supervisors to drive safety improvements and facilitate a coordinated approach to safety management.
∎ Establishing safety performance indicators and metrics to monitor the effectiveness of safety programs and initiatives. Analyzing safety data, prepare reports on safety performance, and provide recommendations for improvement to senior management.
∎ Responsible to investigate any accident takes place in the facility or it's associate place, where need to provide technical remediation plan, follow up the action and monitor until resolved. Also, actions need to be taken to manage the risks following risk management hirarchy.
∎ Liaise with regulatory authorities and ensure that workplace is compliant with all the relevant safety related certificates, registrations, regulations etc.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 35 to 47 years
∎ 10-12 years practical experience on plant and workplace safety.
∎ Experience with sensitive industry like gas field, chemical factory, petroleum plant, power plant etc. will be given preference.
∎ Having experience on Alliance, Accord, Nirapon, RSC
∎ Knowledge in BNBC, NFPA and other safety regulations.
∎ Have certificate of NIOSH/ NEBOSH, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018 etc.
