Experience: Solid hands-on experience in the Garments, Textile, or Washing industry.
Legal Knowledge: Strong understanding of Bangladesh Labor Law, HR best practices, and EHS standards.
Communication: Excellent English communication (written & speaking) and presentation skills.
Leadership: Strong ability to lead, motivate subordinates, and work independently under pressure.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office, ERP and HRIS tools; knowledge of ZDHC, MRSL, and chemical inventory management.
Attributes: Detail-oriented, well-organized, and a proactive team player.
The successful candidate will oversee the entire spectrum of human resources, social compliance, and environmental sustainability. You will be responsible for leading audits, managing worker relations, and implementing green initiatives.
HR & Employee Relations: Manage end-to-end HR activities including recruitment, onboarding, personnel file management, and disciplinary procedures. Handle payroll-related documentation (attendance, OT, salary, bonus, and leave registers).
Social Compliance: Ensure 100% compliance with Bangladesh Labor Law, Fire & Building safety rules, and buyer Code of Conduct. Act as Secretary for the Workers’ Participatory Committee (WPC).
Audit Management: Lead and face audits such as WRAP, BSCI, SEDEX, RSC, NIRAPON, HIGG-FEM/FSLM, SLCP, and C-TPAT. Prepare and follow up on Corrective Action Plans (CAP).
Environmental & Sustainability: Implement sustainability strategies including GHG reporting, carbon footprint monitoring, and resource optimization. Oversee E.T.P Management, ZLD, and STP installations as per DOE requirements.
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE): Monitor daily worker safety, conduct fire drills, and manage root cause analysis for accidents. Oversee Chemical Management Systems (CMS) and ZDHC MRSL compliance.
Training & Development: Arrange and conduct training sessions on orientation, health & safety, anti-harassment, chemical safety, and EMS.
Administrative & Regulatory: Liaise with government departments for factory certifications and licenses. Ensure timely renewal of environmental clearances, fire licenses, and trade permits.
