Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor degree in any discipline
∎ Preferred Professional Certification: Garment Production
∎ Training/Trade Course: Production, IE, Planning
∎ Skills Required: Production Planning and Coordination
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Lead the entire garment production team.
∎ Product risk Assessment before production and monitor the production operational process to run smoothly.
∎ Line performance analysis (efficiency, man to machine ratio, cost/pieces) and plan for continuous improvement.
∎ Initiate plans and processes which minimize manufacturing costs through effective utilization of manpower, equipment, facilities, materials etc.
∎ Assist in product pricing, product portfolio analysis, cost estimation of new products and profitability studies of products.
∎ Analyze various processes/applications and recommend modifications & equipment calibrations to enhance operational efficiency.
∎ Appraise the prevalent production systems/ processes, identify loopholes if any and undertake result-oriented measures for alleviating them.
∎ Perform the required tasks to handle & manage from cut to finish overall responsibility.
∎ Supervise and direct activities of sewing department to meet daily production target.
∎ Verify line layout of individual style and adjustment through balancing of machine and skilled operatives.
∎ Review the monthly sewing production schedule and work out plan to determine staffing and other resources requirements to meet the deadlines.
∎ Handling the cutting & its consumption issue properly to minimize fabric & cut part rejections.
∎ To confirm the sufficient input, accessories, sample, style details & other materials required for production are collected /received before starting the production in the line.
∎ Coordinate with other respective department to collect the input, accessories & other materials as per requirements.
∎ Attending in pre-production meeting to get the clear details for particular style.
∎ Handling finishing activities and meet on time finish process to meet shipment deadline.
∎ Maintain quality product for each style and no compromise with quality at everywhere.
∎ Establish effective communication with finishing and cutting manager to fulfill the order quantity and avoid any short shipment.
∎ Supervise and direct activities of sewing department to meet daily production target.
∎ Review the monthly sewing production schedule and work out plan to determine staffing and other resources requirements to meet the deadlines.
∎ Monitor, control and utilization of men, machine and material for optimum productivity.
∎ Lead and implement new technology and modern techniques to bring upon continuous improvement enhancing productivity and efficiency.
∎ Ensure cost reduction by reducing all kind of wastage like rejection, alteration, over production, and extra hour work.
∎ Any other responsibilities as and when assigned by the management.
