Garments, Textile
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Responsible for designing and developing wide range of knit products of the company (tops & bottoms of menswear, ladieswear, kids wear etc.).
∎ Creating ideas and producing designs by hand or using Computer-aided Design (CAD).
∎ Strong fashion awareness, updated with the emerging fashion trends and product directions relating to fabrics, colors and shapes.
∎ Understanding designs from a technical perspective, i.e., producing patterns and technical specifications for designs.
∎ Developing patterns that are made into garments and supervising the creation of these, including fitting, detailing and adaptations.
∎ Should have good sense of product quality, accessories assembling and washing.
∎ Conduct research, sourcing and support merchandising teams with developing overall design collection and assigned projects.
∎ Should be able to do risk assessment, feasibility analysis of a product based on company strength and capability.
∎ Maintain all sort of technical data of design/sample development so that Merchandising team gets all info prior to costing the garments.
∎ Liaising closely with the marketing and merchandising team to create new ranges for all customers.
∎ Sourcing, selecting and buying fabrics, trims, fastenings and embellishments.
∎ Should be able to showcase samples, organize showrooms based on customers' portfolio.
∎ Any other job assigned by the authority.
