Educational Requirements:
∎ Master's in Supply Chain Management/ Logistics or similar level qualification or any other relevant subject from any recognised University with minimum second class in all exams/ CGPA 2.5 and above or equivalent.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ The Head of Logistics is responsible for timely meeting of all projects procurement needs and logistics in accordance with the BRAC Operations and Programme Manual with adherence to donor guidelines. Under the supervision of the Project Head - Cyclone Preparedness the Head of Logistics is responsible for procurement of cyclone preparedness materials like portable Reverse Osmosis (RO) water purifier with development of technical team through training and operational guideline in place, prepositioning container with emergency stockpiling of NFIs for rapid response including proper guideline of emergency asset and warehouse management.:
∎ Coordinate to facilitate effective, efficient and timely program implementation support in regards all logistical arrangement and operation. Prepare procurement plans, including demand analyses, market assessments, and planning field level contracts, warehouses and infrastructure (if required).
∎ Establish a rigorous, accountable and transparent procurement system, which is compliant with BRAC's Operations Guideline and donor requirements. Procurement of cyclone preparedness items especially portable Reverse Osmosis (RO) water purifier with development of technical team through training and operational guideline in place (even conduct field trial of the RO water plant).
∎ Procurement of containers with NFIs for emergency response stockpiling in targeted locations with proper operation plan align to cyclone contingency plan. Assist in establishing and implementing procurement plans.
∎ Ensure systematic process of transporting items from HO/suppliers to field locations, ensuring full control of movement and receipt of items. Enforce a zero--tolerance policy regarding corruption and contribute to ensuring complaints are recorded and investigated appropriately, in line with the BRAC Code of Conduct and Accountability Framework.
∎ Ensuring all BRAC's Humanitarian Programme Assets are tagged and listed in the Asset Management database (NFIs and other emergency response goods) at the time of procurement with an asset file created for them and that a regular monitoring system is in place. Ensure the implementation of regular asset verification and Warehouse Management accordingly.
∎ Contribute to donor proposals, budgets and reports. Contribute to Emergency Preparedness and Response planning for logistic and procurement needs and execution including establishing appropriate Frame Work Agreements.
∎ Prepare regular, timely and accurate narrative and logistical reports. Represent BRAC with relevant external local organizations and networks, actively networking and building relevant relationships.
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the Programme's goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
∎ Any other task as and when required by the management.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 10 years' of experience in relevant field in national and international humanitarian operations logistics and supply chain management
