∎ Job Purpose:
∎ We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join us as the Head of Inquiry. In this role, you will have the opportunity to play a critical role to ensure transparency, accountability and ethical conduct within BRAC by maintaining the highest standards of investigative practices and providing valuable insights into decision-making. Additionally, you will promote transparency by investigating, reporting, and fostering an environment of trust and honesty. Through your expertise and leadership, you will play a vital role in ensuring organisation`s integrity, reputation and long-term success.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Design an internal accountability and assurance framework for the smooth functioning of the inquiry team.
∎ Analyze and evaluate investigation reports and findings to identify patterns, trends, and areas of concern. Make recommendations for corrective actions or improvements based on the findings. Maintain accurate and detailed records of all inquiries and investigations.
∎ Present different inquiry reports to senior management and different internal and external forums or committees (Eg. PCC, IPC, IARFC, SGMC, Enterprise Forum, etc.) for taking strategies to mitigate workplace grievances and to promote ethical culture throughout the organisation
∎ Develop and implement investigation protocols, policies and procedures, SOPs, and guidelines, ensuring thoroughness, objectivity, and adherence to legal and ethical standards and organisational best practices related to inquiries and investigations.
∎ Oversee and participate in complex or high-level investigations in collaboration with senior management.
∎ Coordinate with the ombudsperson and internal audit department to implement and follow up on findings and recommendations.
∎ Liaise and collaborate with HR, compliance team, and other relevant stakeholders to gather information and provide updates. Maintain effective communication throughout the inquiry process.
∎ Ensure a yearly strategic and operational plan for staffing, capacity development, and operational activities with a budget by maximizing the use of resources to achieve the organizational objectives.
∎ Ensure violations are properly analyzed and evaluated as per policies, evidence and laws and reports are reviewed before submitting to the forum.
∎ Develop and implement inquiry processes by ensuring they are fair, thorough, and transparent. Continuously review and improve the inquiry procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness and align the weight of evidence in support of allegations.
∎ SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES
∎ Establish a safeguarding culture across all level of the programme by implementing the safeguarding policy. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Responsible to ensure team members are appropriately trained, supported and have access to resources regarding issues that are identified and actioned in accordance with the safeguarding policy and procedure.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in a reputed NGO or organisation. 5-7 years of relevant experience in grievance management, investigation and risk-based Auditing will be an added advantage.
∎ Additional Job Requirements:
∎ you should possess a clear understanding of labor law, excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication and interpersonal abilities, and a commitment to ethical organisational practices and values.
