Education:
    • Bachelor/Honors
  • 4-years graduation preferably in Accounting, Finance, Banking, Economics, Marketing or related discipline from a reputed university with no third class/division or equivalent CGPA in the academic record. Having Postgraduate degree will be considered an added advantage.

  • Any relevant Professional Qualifications i.e., CECM, CERM etc. will be considered an added advantage.

Additional Requirements:
  • Age At most 50 years
  • Minimum 15 years of banking experience in Credit Risk Management / Credit Administration with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.

  • In-depth knowledge of credit risk, BASEL framework, and Bangladesh Bank regulations.

  • Age not exceeding 50 years as of January 31, 2026. The age limit may be relaxed based on relevant experience.



Responsibilities & Context:

As part of its commitment to corporate goals, financial inclusion and good governance, the Bank invites applications from highly experienced, strategic, and performance-driven banking professionals for the position of Head of Credit Risk Management (CRM).

Job Responsibility:

  • Formulate, implement, and oversee the Bank’s credit risk management framework, policies, risk appetite, and governance structure in line with Bangladesh Bank regulations and BASEL guidelines.

  • Act as the principal risk advisor to the Managing Director & CEO, Chief Credit Officer (CCO), Credit Committee, and Board Risk Management Committee on all credit risk–related matters.

  • Ensure effective alignment between business growth objectives and prudent credit risk management, maintaining asset quality and portfolio sustainability.

  • Develop, review, and periodically update credit policies, lending guidelines, sectoral exposure limits, and delegated approval authorities.

  • Monitor overall credit portfolio quality, including concentration risk, industry exposure, early warning signals, and stress indicators.

  • Analyze and report trends in NPL, rescheduling, restructuring, write-off, and recovery performance, and recommend corrective actions.

  • Review and recommend large and sensitive credit proposals placed before senior management and Board-level committees.

  • Ensure robust credit appraisal standards, risk grading accuracy, and documentation quality across Corporate, SME, Retail, and Trade Finance portfolios.

  • Strengthen pre-disbursement checks, post-disbursement monitoring, and covenant compliance mechanisms.

  • Ensure full compliance with Bangladesh Bank circulars, loan classification & provisioning guidelines, BASEL III requirements, and internal audit findings.

  • Oversee credit risk stress testing, ICAAP inputs, portfolio analytics, and regulatory risk reporting.

  • Identify emerging and systemic credit risks and recommend timely risk mitigation strategies in coordination with business and credit functions.

  • Provide strategic direction and policy guidance on classified asset management, recovery strategy, rescheduling, restructuring, and compromise settlements.

  • Work closely with Recovery, Legal, Business units, and the CCO to prevent slippage, maximize cash recovery, and minimize credit loss.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop Credit Risk Management professionals across Head Office and branches.

  • Promote a strong risk-aware culture, ensuring effective segregation of duties between business, credit, and risk functions.

  • Enhance technical competency through structured training, risk forums, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
