Qualifications & Experience:

Education: 

Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or a related quantitative field. An MBA is an advantage.

Experience: 

Minimum 7-10 years of experience in business analytics, product management, sales performance analysis, or a similar data-driven role, preferably within the financial services or insurance industry.

Certification: Certification in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or related fields is highly preferred. 5. Key Competencies.

Responsibilities & Context:

Job Purpose

To drive the commercial sustainability and growth of the product portfolio through rigorous data analysis, performance monitoring, and lifecycle management. This role tracks key product metrics, generates insights to improve, and develops strategies to strengthen customer retention and portfolio growth, making sure products deliver maximum value throughout their lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Product Analytics & Performance Monitoring:

Establish and maintain a comprehensive product performance dashboard tracking KPIs such as sales volume, persistency/retention, profitability, market share, and customer acquisition cost.

Analyze product performance data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas of underperformance.

Prepare regular performance reports and insights for the Head of Product and Management Committee (Mancom).

Lifecycle Optimization:

Proactively identify opportunities for product enhancements, redesigns, or process improvements based on performance evidence and customer feedback.

Develop business cases for product modifications or "sunsetting" decisions, working in conjunction with the Actuarial team on financial implications.

Lead the governance process for product changes, ensuring all adjustments are strategically sound and evidence-based.

Retention Strategy & Growth Initiatives:

Develop and implement strategies to improve customer retention (persistency) across the portfolio, collaborating with Sales, Customer Service, and Analytics teams.

Analyze customer behavior to identify drivers of lapse and attrition, and design targeted interventions.

Identify cross-selling and up-selling opportunities within the existing customer base to drive organic growth.

Market & Competitive Benchmarking:

Continuously benchmark Guardian's products against key competitors.

Provide actionable insights to the Product Strategy team on market positioning and competitive responses.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Improvement in product retention/persistency rates.

Contribution to portfolio growth (e.g., in-force premium, customer lifetime value).

Number of data-driven insights generated and implemented for product optimization.

Quality and accuracy of performance dashboards and reports.
