Experience:
6 years of experience in Human Resources within a financial institution or other regulated organisation.
At least 3 years of dedicated experience in Employee Relations, including disciplinary management, grievance handling, workplace investigations and HR compliance functions.
Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Law, Management, or a relevant discipline from a recognised university.
A professional qualification or certification in Human Resources, Labour Law, Compliance, or Employee Relations will be considered an advantage.
Sound knowledge of employee relations, disciplinary procedures, workplace investigations, and grievance management.
Working knowledge of the Bangladesh Labour Act, 2006 and its amendments, applicable labour rules, and employment-related regulations.
High level of integrity, neutrality, confidentiality, and professional judgement.
Manage day-to-day employee relations matters, workplace concerns, grievances and disciplinary issues.
Receive, review and document employee complaints, allegations and reported misconduct.
Conduct preliminary assessments and support formal investigations into disciplinary and workplace-related matters.
Prepare show-cause notices, explanation letters, charge sheets, Inquiry notices, hearing documents, warning letters, and other disciplinary correspondence.
Coordinate disciplinary enquiries and committee meetings, including scheduling, documentation, evidence management, and preparation of minutes.
Maintain complete confidentiality and proper records of disciplinary proceedings, investigations, grievances, and management decisions.
Ensure disciplinary actions are conducted fairly, consistently, and in accordance with the Bank’s HR Policy, Code of Conduct, applicable labour laws, and regulatory requirements.
Prepare investigation summaries, disciplinary committee reports, management notes, and recommendations for appropriate action.
Monitor employee conduct and identify recurring workplace issues, compliance risks, and areas requiring corrective measures.
Provide guidance to employees, supervisors, branch managers, and divisional heads on employee relations and disciplinary procedures.
Support the implementation and periodic review of employee relations policies, disciplinary procedures and grievance-handling mechanisms.
Coordinate with Legal, Compliance, Internal Control and other relevant stakeholders when required.
Support initiatives that promote employee engagement, workplace harmony, professional conduct and a respectful organisational culture.
Perform any other employee relations or HR responsibilities assigned by the management.
