Education:
    • Bachelor degree in any discipline
    • Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Textile Engineering
  • Bachelor's degree in any of the following disciplines from a reputed university.
  • Industrial & Production Engineering (IPE)/ Textile Engineering/ Fabrics Technology/ Other relevant Engineering fields: Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering, Fabric Technology, or a related field.

Skills Required:

Additional Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience in fabric analysis, quality testing, or textile laboratory operations, including at least 4–6 years in a leadership role.

  • Strong understanding of textile testing standards (e.g., ASTM, AATCC, ISO).

  • Experience working with knit based and functional fabrics.

  • Excellent problem-solving, team management, and communication skills.

  • Advanced knowledge of fabric performance technologies (e.g., moisture management, stretch recovery, colorfastness).

  • Familiarity with laboratory equipment and software systems used in textile testing.

  • Experience in cross-functional collaboration with product development, sourcing, or manufacturing.



Responsibilities & Context:

One-Stop fabric Sourcing Unit.

Responsibilities:

Team Leadership & Coordination

  • Lead and manage the FSU team to deliver timely and accurate fabric evaluations and technical support.
  • Plan, allocate, and monitor daily workload across the team to meet operational targets.
  • Mentor, train, and develop team members to enhance technical competencies and efficiency.

Fabric Testing & Analysis

  • Oversee and perform fiber identification, yarn and fabric structure analysis, and physical/chemical testing.
  • Ensure that fabric quality meets all required performance standards, specifications, and compliance criteria.
  • Interpret lab test results and provide technical insights for corrective actions or material improvements.

Quality Assurance & Standards

  • Establish and enforce testing protocols, quality control measures, and documentation practices.
  • Collaborate with QA, PD&D, Sourcing, and Production teams to resolve fabric-related issues.
  • Drive root-cause analysis for fabric defects and recommend preventive actions.

Process Optimization & Reporting

  • Identify opportunities for improving testing efficiency, accuracy, and turnaround times.
  • Maintain records and reports of testing results, non-conformance, and team performance.
  • Contribute to fabric innovation projects by providing technical feasibility assessments.
