The Garment Technologist at Standard MH Group plays a critical role in overseeing all technical aspects of garment development within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Responsible for managing fit, construction, and sample finalization, this role involves close collaboration with design, production, and quality teams to ensure garments meet stringent quality and fit standards. Operating in a highly detail-oriented setting, the technologist ensures that prototypes and production samples comply with brand requirements and customer specifications. Effective communication with buyers and cross-functional teams is essential to troubleshoot technical challenges and drive continuous improvements in product quality and production efficiency.

• Oversee end-to-end sample development, ensuring technical feasibility aligns with design intent and quality expectations.

• Lead sample evaluations by meticulously assessing fit, construction, and material performance; provide clear, actionable feedback for improvements.

• Finalize samples by approving pre-production and production samples that meet stringent quality benchmarks and technical specifications.

• Collaborate closely with buyers to resolve fit and construction challenges, ensuring flawless execution in production.

• Implement quality control measures throughout sample and production stages to identify defects early and prevent quality issues downstream.

• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including tech packs, fit reports, and approval logs, to support transparency and traceability.

• Collaborate with sourcing and design teams to evaluate and select appropriate fabrics, trims, and components for each garment.

• Implement grading processes to ensure consistent sizing across different garment styles.
