• Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Fashion Designing

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Textile/Fashion/merchandiser/Engineering or related field preferred / experience persons will be preferred.

• 5 to 8 years

• Minimum 5-8 years of experience in finishing operations, production, or quality control.

• Strong knowledge of finishing techniques, machinery, and materials.

• Excellent leadership, team management, and problem-solving skills.

• High attention to detail with a commitment to product excellence.

• Familiarity with lean manufacturing, workflow optimization, or production management tools is a plus.

Working Conditions

Role Overview

The Finishing In-Charge is responsible for overseeing all finishing operations, ensuring that products meet quality, aesthetic, and technical standards before dispatch. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong leadership, and process management skills to maintain high production efficiency and product excellence.

Responsibilities:

Production & Workflow Management:

• Oversee the finishing department for woven bottom garments (denim and non-denim), ensuring timely and high-quality production.
• Supervise the finishing department, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to production schedules.
• Develop, implement, and maintain finishing processes, SOPs, and workflow standards.
• Monitor production schedules, track KPIs, and ensure delivery targets are met.
• Communicate with cutting, sewing & merchandising teams for any kind of relevant & delivery issues;
• Control and monitor costs and other overheads of the Finishing section within the budgeted limit;
• Responsible for Finishing including trimming, button attach, ironing & packaging of garments.
• Able to follow up shipment plan and achieve set packing targets, quick balancing finishing lines and analyzing individual worker performance.
• Allocate tasks and manage team performance to maximize efficiency and output quality.

Quality Assurance:

• Monitor finished products to ensure they meet company standards and client specifications.
• Identify defects, implement corrective measures, and maintain high-quality consistency.
• Conduct root cause analysis for recurring defects and implement preventive measures.
• Collaborate with design, production, and QA teams to implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Implement process improvements to reduce waste, increase efficiency, and enhance product durability.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with buyers to ensure material quality meets finishing requirements.
• Support innovation in finishing techniques to improve aesthetics, durability, and overall product value.

Process Optimization:

• Develop and implement best practices for finishing processes to improve speed, reduce waste, and enhance quality.
• Collaborate with production and quality teams to streamline end-to-end operations.
• Collaborate with design, production, and QA teams to implement continuous improvement initiatives.

Team Leadership & Training:

• Mentor and train finishing staff on techniques, tools, and quality standards.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
• Evaluating staff performance, disciplinary matters, training needs and their career development plans;

Reporting & Documentation:

• Maintain records of production output, defects, and team performance.
• Report to management with insights and recommendations for process enhancements.

Safety & Compliance:

• Ensure finishing operations comply with safety standards, workplace regulations, and company policies.
