Educational Requirements:
∎ Tertiary Degree in Fashion Designing or Graduation from any University.
Job Context:
∎ We are looking for a Fashion Designer at the same time Graphics Designers having educational background on fashion designing, with creativity and sound knowledge in garments industry who are working with Outerwear, woven & knit, Sweaters garments designing.
∎ Job Location: Uttara/Dhaka, preferably with travel requirements to overseas for deserve employees
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Establish and enhance long-term business relationships with buyers through excellent customer service to optimize business growth.
∎ Categorize and forecasting the trends forecasting before the season starts.
∎ Research the market trends both (previous & current), theme, technology, and products via open sources like internet, magazines, trend fairs etc.
∎ Create hand-drawn sketches, designs, flat patterns, technical drawings, and other required art /illustration.
∎ Apply garments patternmaking and garments fitting techniques to ensure proper construction.
∎ Preparing the new collection according to the trends, theme, and seasons.
∎ Developing samples as per buyer's tech packs.
∎ Prepare sketches and develop samples accordingly.
∎ Assessment & Inspecting of garments product of design sample, Fit sample & to comply with all technical points are applied in the products as per technical sheet
∎ Visualizing a designing idea/concept as per the current trend analysis, sketching rough and detailed drawings of design using computer-aided designs (CAD) or by hands, and mentioning the specifications like color combination, use of fabric, material type, process of details designing, and accessory requirements for further reference
∎ Develop and prepare offer samples of the design, coordinating their work in alignment to meet deadline, etc.
∎ Examining the look of sample garments on models, making sure that the designed product matches the age, gender, style, and socioeconomic status of target consumers and modifying and redesigning the garments if need arises
∎ Keeping an up-to-date knowledge of current and upcoming fashion trends, noticing the general trend in fabric, color scheme, and shape of the garment, predicting the later advancement in upcoming trends, and developing fashion range accordingly
∎ Collaborating with other fashion designers, prospective buyers, and merchandisers for predicting the trends in near future, assembling designer team for carrying out the designing process, discussing designing ideas with Head of Design /Creative director
∎ Visiting textile showrooms for buying fabrics, new clothing items, and accessories for completing the designs as needed
∎ Understanding the various aspects of designing techniques like layering, Pattern, Print, embellishments, etc., and selecting appropriate fabric and production techniques accordingly
∎ Completely make a Range Plan for Each Season and give a Presentation to the CEO and buyer and company overseas office sales people accordingly.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Experience Requirements: At least 1-6 year(s)
∎ Fresh Graduate with high calibrated can apply for the post of Trainee/Asst Designers.
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Ages 23 to 28 years Fresher maximum 23 yrs.
∎ Must be smart & intelligence with sincerely with Jobs.
∎ Sense of creativity, innovation, and flair for designing fashionable items
∎ Keen observation for determining color schemes, patterns, and designs
∎ Knowledge of different types of fabrics and its identification
∎ Designing and visualization skills
∎ Knowledge of garments and technology
∎ Commercial awareness with business orientation skills
∎ Communication and interpersonal skills
∎ Negotiation skills
∎ Ability to work individually and in teams
∎ Organizational and time management skills
∎ Can be travel frequently to abroad for meeting with buyer if required.
∎ Already traveled to USA, Europe, Australia, Brazil, UK will be given the preference.
∎ Bangladeshi National & Foreigner can apply for the post except Sri Lanka.
Salary: Negotiable
