Educational Requirements:
∎ Graduate degree in Agriculture/ Agribusiness/ Marketing or Diploma in Agriculture with substantial experience is required.

∎ At least 2 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Plan, coordinate and implement all sorts of project activities to ensure pilot and scale up weather index-based crop insurance;
∎ Conducting the baseline survey and collecting information and data related to smallholder households, major crops and weather risks during the product design;
∎ Conduct awareness creation campaigns among farmers for the promotion of crop insurance, provide educational training to farmers and other beneficiaries;
∎ Conduct training sessions for the purpose of capacity development of branch staff on agriculture insurance operations;
∎ Efficiently manage and distribute crop insurance products, handle farmer-enrollment, premiums collections, and claim settlement process with the support of branch staffs;
∎ Monitor day-to-day operations of project and its planned activities; Gather feedback related to the products from the farmers and other implementing partners to help refine the crop insurance products;
∎ Work closely with the respective branch staffs, manage relationships with farmers and farmers group members, local government, agricultural extension service providers and other stakeholders;
∎ Prepare progress reports, documents at regular basis;
∎ Support Field Coordinator in planning, designing, reviewing project activities, and providing input for the further improvement of the project;
∎ Any other specific areas of responsibilities shall be assigned from time to time by the Field Coordinator and HO Team;
∎ Coordination with team members of the partners in field;
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme's goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Experience Requirements: At-least 2 years of working experience preferably in the field of agriculture, Agri-finance, rural microfinance, agricultural input marketing or market development with any renowned NGOs, MFIs, companies or donor projects.
∎ Additional Requirements:
∎ Practical experience and skills in managing of farmers groups & forums, conducting need-based training for farmers, follow up and technical supports to the farmers in crop production and climate change adaptation in crops; work experience in crop insurance promotion will be highly preferred.
∎ Experience in collecting field data and prepare project documents;
∎ Basic computer skills in MS Office, MS Excel and emailing;
∎ Good written and oral communication skills in English and Bangla;
∎ Excellent Interpersonal skills; ability to work in a team; and achieve the targets and deadlines.
∎ Ability and willingness to drive motorcycle and must have a valid driving license.
