Responsibilities & Context:
Product Development & Sampling (The Technical Core)
Lingerie requires intense focus on fit and comfort.
Sample Management: Coordinating the development of Proto samples, Fit samples, Size Sets, and Pre-Production (PP) samples.
Fit Coordination: Working closely with the technical team to ensure bra cup shapes and wire fittings meet buyer specifications.
Lab Dips & Strike-offs: Ensuring color accuracy (DTM - Dye to Match) for delicate lace, elastics, and fabrics.
Costing & Negotiation
BOM (Bill of Materials) Preparation: Calculating the cost of every tiny component, including hooks, eyes, sliders, elastics, lace, and foam.
Price Quoting: Developing competitive price sheets based on fabric consumption and factory overheads.
Supplier Negotiation: Negotiating with trim and fabric vendors to maintain the company’s profit margins.
Order Execution & TNA Management
TNA (Time & Action) Calendar: Creating and strictly following a timeline to ensure the order stays on track for the shipment date.
Material Sourcing: Sourcing specialized materials (e.g., high-stretch spandex, delicate mesh) and ensuring they arrive on time.
Internal Order Sheets: Translating buyer requirements into "Internal Order Sheets" for the production, cutting, and sewing departments.
Marketing & Buyer Communication
Account Management: Acting as the primary point of contact for international or local buyers.
Market Analysis: Staying updated on global lingerie trends (e.g., wireless bras, sustainable fabrics, seamless technology).
Business Development: Identifying new potential buyers and preparing "Concept Collections" to pitch to them.
Production & Quality Liaison
PP Meetings: Leading Pre-Production meetings with the factory floor to explain complex construction details of the lingerie.
Production Monitoring: Visiting the factory floor daily to check the status of cutting, sewing, and packing.
Final Inspection: Ensuring the final product meets the "AQL" (Acceptable Quality Level) before the goods are shipped.
