Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Textile Technology
Experience Requirements:
∎ 2 to 3 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Trend analysis and prediction of color and designs for woven garments.
∎ Forecast trends, develop inspirational ideas and offer own collection which are saleable to international brands.
∎ Preparation of range plan and product mix with full color sketches showing all styles and suggested color in coordination with marketing, sales and operation for planned season.
∎ Generate concept and mood boards by season (a collection of items to capture a mood, such as photos, fabric pieces and color samples).
∎ Producing detailed tech packs and following complete development of product from initial drawings to final sample in allocated deadline.
∎ Ability to create a sample from a sketch while maintaining the integrity of the design concept with appropriate fabric and trims selection.
∎ He/She must be aware of the new trends in market, up to date with market intelligence related to fabrics, colors, patterns, silhouettes, styles and designs and able to feedback to customers in appropriate format.
∎ He/She will ensure the new product design is interpreted and manufactured to the correct standard in collaboration with sample room.
∎ Ability to work closely with buyer's design and product development team and ensure buyer calendar dates are maintained on development process.
