• Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Textile Engineering, Fashion Technology, or a related field.

• In-depth technical knowledge of elastic and narrow fabric development.

• Familiarity with Jacquard, Crochet, Needle Loom, and related narrow fabric machines.

• Strong documentation and specification development skills.

• Ability to interpret buyer requirements and translate them into technical products.

• Good communication and coordination skills with internal teams and buyers.

• Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.

Job Purpose

The Executive – Product Design & Development (PDD) is responsible for the design, development, and approval of elastic products within the Narrow Fabric Section. The role ensures that all developments meet buyer requirements, technical specifications, and quality standards before bulk production.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and review development orders from buyers or internal merchandising teams.

• Develop elastic products using various narrow fabric techniques and machines, including:

  • Jacquard

  • Crochet

  • Needle Loom

  • Drawstring

  • Bow

  • Collar & Cuff and other narrow fabric items

• Develop and finalize yarn, rubber, and other raw material specifications as per buyer requirements.

• Prepare and maintain all required development documents, technical sheets, and approval records.

• Coordinate with sampling, production, and quality teams to ensure accurate product development.

• Develop elastic samples and submit them to buyers for approval within the required timeline.

• Communicate with buyers regarding technical details, modifications, and development feedback.

• Ensure buyer approvals are obtained before releasing products for bulk production.

• Provide final technical approval and handover to production for bulk manufacturing.

• Monitor development timelines to ensure on-time delivery of samples and approvals.

• Ensure compliance with company standards, buyer guidelines, and quality requirements.
