Additional Requirements:

Responsibilities & Context:

1. Structural Design & Analysis

  • Perform detailed design and analysis of RCC and steel members including beams, slabs, columns, shear walls, braces, trusses, and connections.

  • Develop and review structural designs, drawings, and calculations in compliance with BNBC, ACI, ASCE, UBC, IS, AISC, and other relevant international codes and standards.

  • Independently complete structural design drafts using software such as ETABS, AutoCAD, SAFE, STAAD Pro, SAP2000, and RAM Connection.

  • Conduct linear, nonlinear, response spectrum, and time-history analyses when required.

  • Check for torsional irregularities, lateral stability, and story drift to ensure structural integrity.

  • Ensure all designs meet safety regulations, quality standards, and regulatory compliance.

2. Detail Engineering Assessment (DEA)

  • Review and verify as-built drawings through on-site measurements to identify discrepancies.

  • Detect non-conformities such as load path discontinuities, under-reinforced members, overstressed zones, and inadequate bracing.

  • Develop DEA models using ETABS/STAAD to assess performance under gravity, seismic, and wind loads.

  • Prepare comprehensive DEA reports with appropriate recommendations — including retrofitting, load reduction, or change of occupancy.

  • Ensure all drawings and documentation reflect DEA findings and recommendations.

3. Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain design calculation sheets, technical reports, and drawing logs systematically.

  • Prepare and review Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and coordinate with site management teams.

  • Communicate effectively with clients, consultants, and project stakeholders to ensure design clarity and compliance.
