• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Computer Science & Engineering (CS/CSE).
Experience:
• 1–2 years Hands-on experience in IP network configuration and management, routing and switching, and router, switch, and firewall configuration.
• Experience managing LAN, wireless networks, site-to-site and user VPNs, and network monitoring solutions.
• Working knowledge of SDN, SD-Access, SD-WAN, network asset and inventory management, and Linux/UNIX platforms.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across network, operating system, and hardware environments, with knowledge of server, storage, networking, routing, security, and port-channel technologies.
• Basic understanding of network automation using Python, Ansible, or APIs will be an advantage.Other Skills
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, VLAN, STP, LACP, BGP, OSPF, VPN, DNS, DHCP, NTP, SNMP, Syslog, NetFlow, and network monitoring.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco routers and switches and familiarity with enterprise firewall platforms such as Cisco, Palo Alto, Check Point, or similar platforms.
• Experience with Wireshark and packet-level troubleshooting.
• Vendor certifications such as CCNA/CCNP or RHCE, or certifications related to server, storage, and backup, will be preferred.
Monitor and ensure roster of network operations, connectivity, availability, and performance across data centers, enterprise networks, third-party/partner networks, and remote sites.
Configure, manage, and troubleshoot IP networks, routers, switches, firewalls, LAN, wireless networks, VPNs, and related network infrastructure.
Work with TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, Ethernet, VLAN, STP, LACP, BGP, OSPF, static routing, and network security technologies to troubleshoot and maintain network connectivity.
Support data center networking and high-availability requirements, including DC/DR and new-site network readiness, traffic switchover, and service migration.
Manage and troubleshoot firewall and VPN technologies, including IPsec, IKE, NAT, and enterprise firewall platforms.
Monitor network health and performance using tools such as Cacti, Smokeping, Grafana, and SolarWinds, and perform packet-level troubleshooting using Wireshark where required.
Coordinate with connectivity vendors, third-party partners, product vendors, and OEMs for network onboarding, implementation, troubleshooting, and technical support.
Manage network assets and inventory, Linux/UNIX platform configuration requirements, and contribute to network optimization and automation initiatives.
