Experience:

• Diploma in Mechanical

• Diploma in Chemical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Industrial Engineering or BSc in Chemistry / Applied Chemistry.

• Candidate with Specialized training or certification in Electroplating / Surface Treatment, Knowledge of industrial wastewater treatment (ETP), & Basic computer skills (MS Excel, reporting) will get preference.

• 5 to 10 years
• The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Group of Companies, Garments Accessories

• 5–10 years hands-on electroplating experience.

• At least 2–3 years in a supervisory or in-charge role.

• Prior experience in garment accessories industry is highly preferred.

• Technical & Functional Skills

• Electroplating Process Knowledge - Hands-on experience with plating such as: Nickel, Copper, Zinc, Black Nickel / Antique finishes (common in buttons & zippers).

• Understanding of: Pretreatment (degreasing, pickling, activation), Plating bath chemistry & control, post-treatment (passivation, sealing, drying).

• Ability to control and monitor: pH, Temperature, Current density, Chemical concentration.

• Defect analysis & troubleshooting: Peeling, Pitting, Burning, Discoloration, Uneven coating.

• Knowledge of: Coating thickness testing, Adhesion test, Salt spray/corrosion resistance.

Dear Staff Members, MPAL is a manufacturer of high-quality metal buttons and we are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Electroplating In-Charge to oversee electroplating operations located at BSCIC, Tongi, Gazipur, Dhaka. The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring consistent plating quality, process efficiency, safety compliance and environmentally responsible operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Production & Operations: Supervise daily electroplating operations for zippers & metal buttons, ensure production targets are met without compromising quality, optimize chemical consumption, and reduce rework/rejection.

• Quality Assurance: Ensure plating quality meets Buyer standards, Internal SOPs, Coordinate with QC & Production teams to resolve quality issues, Support sample development and new finish approvals.

• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain Bath logs, Chemical consumption records, Production & rejection reports, Record keeping of bath analysis and corrective actions.

• Maintenance & Improvement: Coordinate with maintenance for: Rectifiers, Barrels, Tanks, Filtration systems, Drive continuous improvement in: Yield, Finish consistency, Cost efficiency.
