Responsibilities & Context:
SKRP group for dynamic The Electrical Engineer – Production & Quality Control will be responsible for planning and supervising factory production activities for electrical lights, switches, sockets, circuit breakers, and other electrical accessories. The role will ensure that production targets are achieved efficiently while maintaining strict quality standards, minimizing wastage, and ensuring smooth coordination with cross-functional teams.
1. Production Planning & Coordination
Develop production plans to meet customer demand, considering inventory levels, lead times, and production capacity.
Ensure adherence to daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules.
Communicate and coordinate with SCM, Product Development, and Quality Assurance teams to align production with orders and new product requirements.
Supervise and coordinate activities on the factory assembly line for the production of electrical switches, lights, and related accessories.
2. Quality Control & Assurance
Implement and maintain rigorous quality control measures for all electrical products (lights, switches, sockets, circuit breakers, etc.).
Monitor in-process and final product quality, ensuring compliance with company standards and relevant safety norms.
Conduct root cause analysis for quality issues and implement corrective & preventive actions (CAPA).
Ensure testing procedures are followed properly (continuity, insulation resistance, load test, etc. as applicable).
3. Process Optimization & Efficiency
Identify opportunities for process improvement in assembly, testing, and packing lines.
Recommend and implement methods to improve productivity, reduce cycle time, and minimize rework.
Analyze production data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
4. Reporting & Data Analysis
Prepare detailed per-hour / per-shift production reports, documenting output, efficiency, downtime, and deviations from the production plan.
Monitor and report material consumption and wastage in the production process.
Implement measures to reduce wastage and optimize material usage.
5. People Management & Training
Provide training and on-the-job guidance to production staff on best manufacturing practices, quality standards, and safety protocols.
Ensure that workers are following standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions on the line.
Promote a culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement on the shop floor.
6. Equipment & Maintenance Coordination
Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure all machinery and equipment are in optimal working condition.
Report any abnormalities or breakdowns promptly and support maintenance in troubleshooting where required.
Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are followed to reduce unexpected downtime.
7. Documentation & Compliance
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to production processes, quality control records, and equipment maintenance.
Support internal and external audits by providing relevant records and technical explanations.
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and applicable standards.
