Experience:
Education & Experience:
1: B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering with 2–3 years of relevant experience in project management or renewable energy.
Or 2: Diploma in Electrical or Power Engineering with 4–5 years of hands-on experience in electrical project execution.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in AutoCAD for 2D/3D electrical design.
In-depth understanding of Renewable Energy systems and Solar PV technology.
Hands-on experience with PV Inverters and Switchgear operation/maintenance.
Strong knowledge of the tendering process, including BOQ (Bill of Quantities) preparation.
Soft Skills:
Strong leadership and site management capabilities.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication skills for coordinating with stakeholders and clients.
The Project Engineer will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of solar projects. This includes creating detailed AutoCAD designs, managing on-site construction and installation, and ensuring the seamless operation of PV inverters and switchgear systems. Additionally, you will play a key role in the business development phase by preparing and submitting technical tenders.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Engineering:
Develop comprehensive electrical layouts, single-line diagrams (SLDs), and site plans using AutoCAD.
Ensure all designs comply with local electrical codes and project specifications.
Project Execution & Construction:
Supervise the construction of solar power plants (rooftop or ground-mounted) from site mobilization to commissioning.
Manage on-site contractors and internal teams to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
Technical Installation:
Oversee the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of PV inverters.
Manage the installation and testing of HT/LT switchgear and protection systems.
Operations & Maintenance (O&M):
Monitor system performance and conduct routine maintenance for existing solar installations.
Address technical failures promptly to minimize system downtime.
Tendering & Documentation:
Analyze tender requirements and prepare technical and commercial proposals.
Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily progress reports, material lists, and as-built drawings.
