Responsibilities & Context:
Evaluate Airworthiness Directives (ADs), Service Bulletins (SBs), and other technical publications issued by authorities or manufacturers, and take timely necessary actions.
Assist the Continuing Airworthiness Manager in managing compliance with regulations set out by the relevant Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB).
Ensure the accomplishment of operational directives, continuing airworthiness requirements, and any immediate safety measures required by the CAAB.
Assess non-mandatory modifications or inspections from the Type Rated Engineer (TRE) and decide on their application.
Monitor scheduled and non-scheduled maintenance and prepare comprehensive aircraft work packages.
Prepare effective removal plans for life-limited parts to minimize unscheduled engine or component removals.
Participate in aircraft induction, base maintenance, and delivery/re-delivery projects.
Review and approve work scoping for operational engines, considering lease return conditions and commercial effectiveness.
Launch and follow up on necessary actions to demonstrate compliance, including physical inspections of aircraft.
Compile and analyze maintenance and reliability data for reporting and corrective action.
Monitor reported aircraft defects, analyze in-service data, and liaise with Part 145 organizations and OEMs to resolve grounding events swiftly.
Ensure the fleet is maintained at an optimum level of component and systems reliability at an acceptable cost to support operational requirements.
Maintain accurate, up-to-date technical and computerized maintenance records, ensuring both physical and digital storage completeness.
Generate Configuration Reports, Time Controlled Items (TCI) Reports, and Life Limited Parts Reports for airframes, engines, and APUs.
Maintain good relationships with OEMs, contracted MROs, and service providers to ensure suppliers provide effective work scopes.
Perform technical and commercial analysis of contracts to protect the airline's interests, and review invoices to ensure alignment with agreed terms.
Ensure that aircraft, engines, and components are taken to appropriately approved maintenance organizations.
Work on a rotational system to obtain broad exposure to all sections of Engineering Department
