Job Responsibilities
Ensure the safe, reliable, and uninterrupted operation of all factory electrical systems and utilities, especially in a knit composite factory.
Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance of all electrical equipment to minimize production downtime.
Operate and maintain HT/LT switchgear, power distribution systems, generators, synchronizing panels, ATS/AMF panels, UPS systems, and electrical control panels.
Maintain electrical systems for knitting, dyeing, finishing, sewing, printing, boilers, air compressors, chillers, ETP/STP, and other utility equipment.
Troubleshoot electrical faults in motors, PLCs, VFDs, MCC panels, and automation systems.
Monitor power consumption and implement energy conservation initiatives to improve operational efficiency.
Prepare maintenance schedules, equipment history, preventive maintenance records, and breakdown analysis reports.
ACCORD / RSC Compliance Responsibilities
• Ensure full compliance with RSC (RMG Sustainability Council) and ACCORD electrical safety standards and remediation requirements.
• Conduct routine inspections of electrical installations to identify non-compliances and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate and support all RSC/ACCORD electrical safety inspections, follow-up assessments, and verification visits.
• Prepare and maintain all documentation required for RSC/ACCORD audits, including electrical drawings, single-line diagrams (SLD), load schedules, maintenance logs, thermographic reports, and inspection records.
• Ensure proper maintenance of substations, transformers, electrical panels, cable management systems, earthing systems, lightning protection systems, emergency lighting, and emergency power systems in accordance with RSC/ACCORD guidelines.
• Monitor the implementation and timely closure of Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) arising from RSC/ACCORD inspections.
• Ensure compliance with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), electrical permit-to-work procedures, and other electrical safety practices.
• Coordinate with external consultants, auditors, contractors, and regulatory authorities during electrical inspections and remediation projects.
• Maintain compliance with the Bangladesh National Building Code (BNBC), Bangladesh Labour Act, Bangladesh Electrical Code, and buyer compliance requirements.
