Responsibilities & Context:
  • Plan, supervise, and manage all mechanical works at assigned project sites, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and contract requirements.

  • Lead the execution, installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems, including piping, HVAC, fire protection, utilities, heavy equipment, and industrial machinery.

  • Develop project schedules, allocate manpower, equipment, and materials to achieve project milestones within budget and timeline.

  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to ensure smooth project execution.

  • Monitor daily site activities and resolve technical issues related to mechanical installation and construction.

  • Review engineering drawings, method statements, material submittals, and technical documents before implementation.

  • Ensure compliance with quality standards, project specifications, and applicable national and international codes.

  • Conduct regular inspections and monitor work progress to ensure adherence to safety, quality, and environmental requirements.

  • Prepare work progress reports, project updates, and documentation for management and clients.

  • Manage subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring work quality, timely delivery, and contractual compliance.

  • Verify measurements, work completion, and contractor bills before recommending payment.

  • Monitor project costs and recommend cost-saving measures without compromising quality and safety.

  • Participate in project planning meetings and provide technical recommendations for improving project performance.

  • Coordinate procurement activities by reviewing technical specifications and evaluating mechanical equipment and materials.

  • Ensure proper maintenance, calibration, and utilization of construction equipment and mechanical tools.

  • Identify project risks and implement preventive and corrective actions to minimize delays.

  • Mentor and supervise engineers, supervisors, and technical staff, ensuring professional development and effective team performance.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, client requirements, and statutory regulations.

  • Support tendering activities by reviewing technical specifications, BOQs, and preparing technical inputs when required.

  • Perform any other duties assigned by management related to project execution and mechanical operations.
