Responsibilities & Context:
Check diesel fuel levels and maintain minimum stock; remain prepared for power failure.
Restore PMCC power within 9 seconds during trips using EDG2; manage rectifier systems safely.
Ensure emergency power supply to critical sections (e.g., Hypo) to maintain safety systems.
Coordinate with DCS and Power Plant Engineers for power distribution and system recovery.
Monitor 11 KV systems, perform synchronization, and manage load transfer from generators.
Operate and maintain rectifiers and auxiliary systems ensuring required parameters (DM water conductivity, flow, temperature).
Support process load management and assist in KA loading as per available power.
Maintain power quality (KVAR, power factor) and operate harmonic filters.
Record all operational data in log sheets (startup, hourly, cooling systems).
Monitor gas pressure and meter readings (Titas RMS).
Attend electrical maintenance issues and support other departments as per work orders.
Ensure backup power supply during REB trips and resolve plant lighting/equipment issues.
