Responsibilities & Context:

• Assist in the design, engineering, installation, testing and commissioning of Solar PV systems.

• Review and verify Single Line Diagrams (SLD), electrical drawings, layouts and technical specifications.

• Supervise and coordinate PV module, inverter, DC/AC cable, DB/panel, earthing and lightning protection system installation.

• Review PV string configuration, DC/AC cable sizing, voltage/current calculations and electrical equipment ratings.

• Monitor installation activities and ensure compliance with approved drawings and project specifications.

• Coordinate with Diploma Engineers, technicians, contractors, consultants and project management teams.

• Assist in testing and commissioning of PV modules, inverters, electrical panels and associated systems.

• Support troubleshooting of electrical and Solar PV system-related problems.

• Monitor project progress and prepare technical reports and site progress reports.

• Assist in preparing BOQ, material requirements, technical documentation and as-built drawings.

• Ensure proper implementation of electrical safety and site safety procedures.

• Monitor quality of electrical installation and identify non-conformities.

• Perform other engineering responsibilities assigned by the Project Manager/Senior Management.
