Responsibilities & Context:
Assist in the design, engineering, installation, testing and commissioning of Solar PV systems.
Review and verify Single Line Diagrams (SLD), electrical drawings, layouts and technical specifications.
Supervise and coordinate PV module, inverter, DC/AC cable, DB/panel, earthing and lightning protection system installation.
Review PV string configuration, DC/AC cable sizing, voltage/current calculations and electrical equipment ratings.
Monitor installation activities and ensure compliance with approved drawings and project specifications.
Coordinate with Diploma Engineers, technicians, contractors, consultants and project management teams.
Assist in testing and commissioning of PV modules, inverters, electrical panels and associated systems.
Support troubleshooting of electrical and Solar PV system-related problems.
Monitor project progress and prepare technical reports and site progress reports.
Assist in preparing BOQ, material requirements, technical documentation and as-built drawings.
Ensure proper implementation of electrical safety and site safety procedures.
Monitor quality of electrical installation and identify non-conformities.
Perform other engineering responsibilities assigned by the Project Manager/Senior Management.
