Educational Requirements:
∎ Master’s or equivalent degree.
∎ A Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Bangladesh, India or either Russell Group or Ivy League universities in communications, marketing, public administration, or a related field; a combination of education and experience will be considered.
∎ MBA from either Russell Group or Ivy League universities will be preferred, but a good amount of experience and communication skills will be accepted in lieu.

∎ You are an energetic and enthusiastic professional working in FMCG marketing but looking for a career change in the Aid sector or working in the NGO sector nationally or internationally with proven results in achieving targets. You have a strong understanding of the Bangladesh development and emergency funding landscape. You have an ability to identify, secure and manage significant major donations. You are not afraid to set ambitious targets and work creatively to achieve them. You thrive on working collaboratively with peers, management, and external stakeholders to achieve outstanding results.
∎ The Role:
∎ As a donor relations manager, you are expected to work with other people in the management and programme development team to determine goals and strategies to maintain an open and compliant relationship with our strategic partners and donors. You typically work in a Business Development Team and help colleagues reach their goals. Job duties include:-
∎ maintaining relationships with donors and prospects,
∎ developing stewardship plans, and
∎ coming up with new ways to thank and recognize donors.
∎ Qualifications for this career include prior experience managing donor relations and marketing, strong communication and organizational skills, and a creative mindset.
∎ With overall guidance from the Head of Programme Development and Donor Reporting (PDDR) and Grants, expand, maintain, and establish programme development strategy by initiating long and short-term goals.
∎ Using established communication techniques, solicitation, and stewardship.
∎ Use strong verbal and written communication skills to articulate the mission and needs of BRAC and its HCMP and to make persuasive oral and written presentations.
∎ Directly manage a portfolio of donors drawn from both the existing donor base and new contacts.
∎ With oversight and assistance from the Head of PDDR and Grants support, SMT members and the directors in their efforts to secure major donors.
∎ Attend SMT meetings when warranted.
∎ Work closely with program staff and SMT to develop specific solicitation or relationship strategies.
∎ Coordinate stewardship strategies and responsibilities with development colleagues and other senior staff to ensure regular touchpoints with key donors
∎ Assist with small and large consultations, workshops and events that have a cultivation/stewardship or relationship development components
∎ Manage the organisation's follow-up efforts
∎ Enter and track donor communications, meetings, and tours
∎ Coordinating participation of SMT members and senior staff as required
∎ Attend meetings and/or staff events that may take place in the evening or on weekends.
∎ Provide collaborative support to the HCMP's proposal writer and budget team and may need to work with the colleagues often in odd hours.

Additional Requirements:
∎ 3-5 years of experience in progressively responsible donor relationship, marketing, and communication experience in blue-chip companies, multinational, FMCG, or preferably in a Non-Government, Donor environment.
∎ Demonstrated working knowledge of the principles and best practices
∎ Planning, implementing and administering solicitations.
∎ Proven team-building skills, creating liaisons with program staff, senior management, and board members to develop effective cultivation and solicitation strategies.
∎ Experience in fields relevant to BRAC's mission, including poverty, human rights, crisis management, mental health,
∎ Commitment to organisational mission and values is essential.
∎ Donor management: Experience in working with UNHCR and/or other UN donors, bilateral or multilateral donors like GAC, DFAT, Hilton Foundation and many other donors working in Bangladesh, relations and management best practices, policies, and processes.
∎ Stakeholder service mindset: Provide timeline and professional service to both internal and external stakeholders; is responsive to donor needs and requests; is always courteous to the stakeholder and considers the stakeholder's needs when making decisions.
∎ Effective communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and oral; demonstrates abilities to tailor messages appropriately to various internal and external stakeholders; shares information; actively listens and involves others.
∎ Interpersonal skills: Changes interpersonal style and approach based on circumstance or audiences; works with groups and people; do not judge others.
∎ Initiative & Accountability: Acts on his/her own without being prompted; handles problems independently and can resolve issues without relying on extensive help from others.
∎ Accountability: Holds self-accountable for delivering on commitments; owns mistakes and uses them as opportunities for learning and development.
∎ Language skills: Fluent in written and spoken English is essential.
∎ Computer Skills:
∎ Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
