Job Context:
∎ Under the remarkable guidance of the founder of `One Culture`; as a senior leader in the organization, the incumbent will be overall responsible for ensuring technical and operational excellence in the delivery of all activities in the country program portfolio.
∎ Maintain a working knowledge of the civil society landscape in Bangladesh; and establish, build, and maintain a network of strategic partners, including women-led organizations, to produce better outcomes for the people.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Partnership:
∎ Provide leadership and guidance for the development and management of partnerships with potential international, local, and national NGOs, the private sector, and other relevant actors which are in line with the organizational Strategic vision, partnership, and Fundraising Strategy.
∎ Forster building and strengthening relationships with donors, and partner organizations based on transparency, mutual respect, inclusion, accountability, effective communication, and quality service delivery.
∎ Ensure appropriate proactive and reactive communications and engagement with donors, partners through regularly scheduled partnership management meetings and outside of formal partnership relationships.
∎ Facilitate systematic feedback on the management of the donor & partnership relationship, as well as appropriate action in response to the feedback.
∎ Oversee all aspects of partnership life cycle management, from partner mapping analysis, partner identification, due diligence, project development, agreement development, start-up, implementation, monitoring and accountability through to close-out, coordinating effectively with all programs, operations and finance components.
∎ Programmatic:
∎ Oversee and coordinate the program portfolio to ensure the highest level of project quality and accountability, while fostering continuity through building local capacity.
∎ Provide technical input to the government, international donors, and technical advisory groups pertinent to project activities.
∎ Ensure implementation of strong program monitoring, evaluation, and learning functions.
∎ Oversee research design, methodology, and dissemination of information needed to monitor and evaluate project activities and/or advance programmatic and policy changes.
∎ Disseminate important findings to decision-makers in a position to fund or implement projects in Bangladesh and internationally.
∎ Keep the national partners and others informed about the progress of the projects, plans for the development of new programs/projects/activities and donor involvement in the overall program.
∎ Grants and Proposal Development:
∎ Draft new proposals and concept notes which are consistent, high-quality, competitive, and aligned with donor's requirements and regulations.
∎ Develop SMART proposal development timeline, provide early notification to relevant about the timeline; regular follow-up with the relevant teams to ensure deliverables.
∎ Maintain an efficient system for proposal development including clear responsibilities outlined for management, programs, finance, and operations departments - that yields timely, high-quality submissions.
∎ Organize program design workshops for all new business development opportunities
∎ Coordinate with the Finance team to ensure that, budget templates are developed and shared with the team on time; ensure that the budget is reviewed by relevant functions before sign-off.
∎ Represent the organization in various donor coordination meetings and external forums as required for business development and other grants functions
∎ Develop briefing papers for donor visits and coordinate external visits which are relevant for business development.
∎ Conduct community needs assessment as part of concept note and business development initiatives.
∎ Lead and prepare concept papers and proposals and provide other information as needed for submission to donors and others for fundraising and marketing purposes.
∎ Management and Leadership:
∎ Provide leadership and direction for overall program design and implementation, and proposal development.
∎ Build a highly effective management team, recruiting, supervising, mentoring, and evaluating staff, and engaging in frequent performance conversations with team members.
∎ Delegate authority, consult with, and guide staff to achieve goals and contribute to an atmosphere conducive to professional growth and development.
∎ Ensure Country Office is following 'One Culture' policies and procedures, staff completed mandatory training, including annual refreshers.
∎ Represent 'One Culture' in formal and informal meetings with government officials, international donor agencies, and national technical advisory groups pertinent to our project activities.
∎ Collaborate with Business Development Unit to identify opportunities and generate funding from international and bilateral agencies and donor agencies.
∎ Develop and nurture in-country donor relationships and identify potential partners to participate in joint proposals.
∎ Financial and Administrative:
∎ Provide oversight to finance and administrative services including procurement, property management, human resources management, vehicle and facilities management, and staff safety and security.
∎ Work with global colleagues to manage the development and implementation of annual country budgets.
∎ Authorize expenditures for grant or contract allocations and ensure compliance with procedures required by grant or contract agreements.
∎ Ensure the accurate and timely submission of financial and narrative reports that comply with grant or contract agreements and ensure compliance with all aspects of donor funding and 'One Culture' policies.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 35 to 40 years
∎ Must be self-driven and possess good work ethics;
∎ Ability to write monthly and quarterly reports;
∎ Must be a good team player;
∎ Skilled in MS Office Suite;
∎ Must be persuasive and ready to do a lot of legwork.
