As part of this mission, we are seeking a dynamic individual for an anticipated project to play the role of the Area Manager to ensure effective implementation of a new project funded by the LEGO Foundation, activities have been initiated to promote the mental health and age-appropriate development of children aged 0 to 3 years among the local population of Cox's Bazar district and the displaced population from Myanmar.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the ECD programme in coordination with field teams.

  • Develop and implement operational plans aligned with project goals and objectives.

  • Coordinate and facilitate timely recruitment and training of staff according to project targets.

  • Support the Senior Manager in preparing detailed implementation plans and ensuring timely execution of project activities.

  • Ensure programme targets are achieved within the specified timeline and approved budget.

  • Maintain compliance of programme activities with ECD (0–3 years) standards, child protection principles, and organizational guidelines.

  • Monitor and evaluate the quality and effectiveness of mother and father sessions, psychosocial support activities, and caregiver engagement initiatives.

  • Ensure timely implementation of staff and volunteer capacity development plans.

  • Supervise and guide community health workers in conducting mothers’ sessions and provide technical advice where necessary.

  • Participate in and facilitate monthly refresher training sessions for community health workers and para-counsellors.

  • Conduct regular field visits to review para-counselling volunteers’ activities on mental health and provide feedback and guidance.

  • Manage programme expenditures in line with the approved budget and ensure proper booking under designated account codes.

  • Prepare and submit weekly, monthly, and annual programme reports to supervisors within stipulated timelines.

  • Collaborate with project teams to integrate Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) into play-based learning and nutrition interventions.

  • Serve as the PSEA and Safeguarding focal point for the HPL Programme.

  • Apply knowledge of child psychology, developmental milestones, and trauma-informed approaches in programme implementation.

  • Communicate and coordinate effectively with multicultural and multidisciplinary teams to ensure smooth programme delivery.

  • Collect, analyze, and report programme data to support evidence-based decision-making.

SAFEGUARDING RESPONSILITIES:

  • Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.

  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.

  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
