Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
Professional certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, RICS, or similar) will be an advantage.
Work Location: Head Office with frequent site visits across Group company locations.
5–10 years of experience in civil/construction engineering, project management, or engineering audit.
Hands-on experience in building, infrastructure, industrial, or real estate projects.
Prior exposure to engineering audit, internal audit, or cost control will be highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, BOQs, estimation, billing, and contracts.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.
Knowledge of ERP systems, MS Excel, AutoCAD, and project management tools.
Strong communication and report-writing skills.
High integrity, independence, and professional skepticism.

Now, we are seeking a dynamic & energetic person to join us as “Assistant Manager/Deputy Manager (Civil) - Internal Audit”.
The candidate has to perform following responsibilities:
1. Engineering & Technical Audit
• Review approved drawings, specifications, BOQs, and technical designs for civil and construction projects.
• Verify execution of works against approved plans, contract terms, and engineering standards.
• Conduct site inspections to assess construction quality, workmanship, and material usage.
• Identify deviations, defects, rework, and non-compliance with specifications.
2. Cost & Quantity Verification
• Audit measurement books (MB), running bills, and final bills of contractors.
• Verify quantities of work executed against BOQs and site measurements.
• Review variation orders, extra works, and rate analysis for reasonableness and approval compliance.
• Identify cost overruns, leakages, wastage, or inflated claims.
3. Contract & Vendor Review
• Review construction contracts, work orders, and amendments for technical and commercial compliance.
• Assess contractor performance against contractual obligations (quality, timeline, safety). • Review vendor selection, subcontracting, and compliance with procurement policies.
4. Project Timeline & Progress Monitoring
• Review project schedules, milestones, and progress reports.
• Identify delays, root causes, and potential risks impacting project completion.
• Evaluate adequacy of project monitoring and reporting mechanisms.
5. Compliance & Risk Assessment
• Ensure compliance with building codes, BNBC, safety regulations, environmental requirements, and statutory approvals.
• Assess health, safety, and environmental (HSE) practices at construction sites.
• Identify technical, operational, financial, and compliance risks in construction projects.
6. Reporting & Recommendations
• Prepare audit reports highlighting observations, risks, financial impact, and root causes. • Provide practical and value-added recommendations for process improvement, cost control, and quality enhancement.
• Follow up on implementation of agreed audit recommendations.
7. Coordination & Advisory Role
• Coordinate with project teams, consultants, contractors, procurement, and finance departments.
• Act as a technical advisor to management on construction-related risks and controls.
• Support special investigations, management reviews, or forensic audits related to construction activities.
