Responsibilities & Context:
Lead troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of all plant mechanical equipment to ensure uninterrupted operation.
Oversee preventive, predictive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance of high-pressure boilers, steam turbines, and auxiliaries.
Plan and schedule maintenance activities in coordination with the Operations team.
Train, coach, and develop team members to upgrade maintenance skills and productivity.
Track and improve maintenance KPIs such as asset utilization, PM compliance, and schedule adherence.
Monitor equipment performance and initiate improvements to enhance efficiency and availability.
Control and optimize spare parts inventory and warehouse levels.
Initiate and follow up requisitions for parts, materials, and external services.
Provide leadership and technical guidance during critical repairs and shutdowns.
Ensure availability and proper use of PPE and adherence to safety regulations.
Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant working environment within workshops and plant areas.
Coordinate cross-functionally to support production targets and continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure maximum equipment reliability while minimizing downtime and maintenance cost.
Prepare daily and periodic cost reports for fuel, steam, water, and power generation.
