Strong knowledge of capacity planning, production processes, time & action management, and line balancing;

The required position will be focused on supporting the overall production planning process by coordinating capacity allocation, developing production schedules, maintaining T&A, and ensuring that orders are executed according to plan. The role requires strong analytical capability, hands-on understanding of garment manufacturing (knit), and the ability to collaborate with merchandising, IE, supply chain, and production teams to maintain smooth workflow and ensure on-time shipment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Production Planning & Scheduling
Assist in preparing detailed production plans, machine loading, and line allocation based on capacity and buyer shipment dates;
Develop daily/weekly production schedules in alignment with overall factory planning;
Monitor progress of production versus plan and guide planning officers to make necessary adjustments;
Track style-wise and line-wise output to ensure target achievement;
2. Capacity Analysis & Optimization
Analyze sewing, cutting, and finishing capacities to determine realistic production commitments;
Review capacity reservation with merchandising and adjust allocations based on confirmed orders;
Identify capacity shortfalls and propose solutions such as overtime, line optimization, or subcontract support;
3. Time & Action (T&A) Follow-Up
Prepare, update, and monitor T&A calendars for each order;
Track sample approvals, fabric, and trims in-house status, and production milestones;
Work with merchandising and supply chain to resolve any delays and maintain T&A discipline;
4. Coordination & Communication
Liaise closely with Merchandising to clarify order requirements, changes, and shipment priorities;
Coordinate with IE for SMV, efficiency projections, and manpower requirements;
Collaborate with Cutting, Sewing, Washing, Finishing, and Quality departments to ensure smooth workflow;
Communicate production constraints and planning issues to the Manager – Planning and factory leadership;
5. Data Management & Reporting
Maintain accurate planning data in ERP or planning systems;
Prepare order status reports, line loading updates, material status trackers, and daily/weekly planning dashboards;
Analyze performance gaps and propose corrective and preventive actions;
6. Process & System Improvement
Support continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean, Kaizen, and capacity optimization projects;
Identify planning bottlenecks and contribute to process standardization for better accuracy and efficiency.
