∎ Minimum of three (03) years of expertise in Accounts, Finance, Budget, Audit ,Tax or VAT in the relevant sector. (Work experience in programmes focused on managing finances in a similar funding environment and grant management USAID Project handling experience will be an added advantage)
∎ Core knowledge of IFRS and IAS and financial reporting.
∎ Knowledge of NGOAB regulation is a plus but not mandatory.
∎ Sound knowledge of advanced Excel and handling big datasets.
∎ High proficiency with computers, particularly Google Suite, MS Office, Financial Systems, and Cloud Computing (Google Drive / Dropbox)
∎ Sound communication skills in both Bengali and English.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Prepare monthly/annual accounts with appropriate notes of assigned portfolio.
∎ Maintain effective communication with the Field offices and their relevant stakeholders to ensure the smooth operation of any project.
∎ Manage stakeholders (program, donors, regulatory bodies, auditors) with the required deliverables.
∎ Review donor proposals, agreements, and budgets and ensure required financial control.
∎ Prepare donor financial reports, manage external audit and NGOAB reporting as required.
∎ Prepare and maintain project-wise details fixed asset schedule, regular reconciliation between HO & FO, and Journal Vouchers.
∎ Fund management and Reconciliation of receivables and payables of the project.
∎ Ensure the payroll ledgers have complied with HR policies (Provision for provident fund, gratuity statement, TDS deduction etc.)
∎ Perform Financial Analysis, Variance analysis, and support on management reporting.
∎ Support on the annual budgeting process for the assigned projects and upload in the ERP.
∎ Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.

∎ BRAC is actively seeking a Deputy Manager, Finance and Accounts for Bangladesh America Maitree Activity (BAMA) a substantial project with a budget of USD 48 million. This 5-year program aims to enhance the capacity of local organizations aligned with USAID's strategic objectives in Bangladesh. Through a careful selection process, chosen local organizations will receive funding to implement programs, with a strong emphasis on strengthening their institutional capabilities.
∎ JOB PURPOSE
∎ As the Deputy Manager, Finance and Accounts, you will drive initiatives to guarantee efficiency, responsibility, along with adherence to regulations while offering practical suggestions. In addition to determining the financial demands, you also play a crucial role in rationalizing data and effectively coordinating it with program aims.
∎ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
