Educational Requirements:
∎ Minimum Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science/ Engineering/ Information Technology or related fields from any reputed university with no Third Division/Class

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Manage SQL Server databases through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems.
∎ Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.
∎ Apply data modeling techniques to ensure development and implementation support efforts meet integration and performance expectations.
∎ Write SQL queries, views, or stored procedures to extract data from SQL Servers in a consistent and efficient manner that follows industry best practices.
∎ Interpret existing complex SQL queries and stored procedures to reverse engineer existing code.
∎ Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end.
∎ Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours.
∎ Share domain and technical expertise, providing technical mentorship and cross-training to other peers and team members.
∎ Build database systems of high availability and quality depending on each end user’s specialized role
∎ Design and implement database in accordance to end users information needs and views
∎ Use high-speed transaction recovery techniques and backup data
∎ Minimize database downtime and manage parameters to provide fast query responses
∎ Provide proactive and reactive data management support and training to users
∎ Determine, enforce and document database policies, procedures and standards
∎ Perform tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security, privacy and integrity
∎ Monitor database performance, implement changes and apply new patches and versions when required.
∎ Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes
∎ Assist developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement.
∎ Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 8 years of experience in similar job preferably in a bank or financial institutions
∎ Advanced knowledge of database security, backup and recovery, and performance monitoring standards
∎ Experience with Linux and Windows Server environments is required.
∎ Extensive experience with database technologies (MySQL, MS SQL, PostgreSQL Oracle, MongoDB)
∎ Ability to work with data architects and other IT specialist to set up, maintain and monitor data networks
∎ Sufficient skills to operate Microsoft Office Applications/ banking software
