Job Context:
∎ Position: Trade Officer (Up to Executive Officer)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Scrutinize LC (Local/Foreign) applications for issuance/amendment/cancellation and other supporting documents in the context of Credit approval, Import Policy Order, Bangladesh Bank Guidelines, Circulars and International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) norms and practice
∎ Scrutinize shipping documents received under import LC (Local/Foreign) & contracts, Issuance of Acceptance, Payment of Import Bills, Issuance of Shipping guarantees/NOC, disbursement, adjustments of import loans in terms of UCP, ISBP, URR, URC, Incoterms etc.
∎ Advising, transfer and lien of export LCs and Contracts, Maintaining Export Performance, issuance of EXPs, scrutiny of export documents for collection & negotiation, export payment etc.
∎ Issuance of all types of Bank Guarantees and settlement of claims as per URDG. Having sound knowledge in e-GP procedure will be added advantage
∎ Reporting of transactions and related information to Bangladesh Bank
∎ Maintain strong liaison with other Business units for resolution of transactional issues on a timely manner
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 20 years
∎ Post-Graduation from any reputed university with no Third Division/Class
∎ At least 05 years' experience in recognized banks with minimum 02 years' experience in Foreign Exchange Department of a Bank. Prior experience in the centralized trade processing center and professional degrees in CDCS, CSDG, CITF, CTFC will be considered as added advantage
∎ Sound knowledge on GFET, UCP, ISBP, URC, URR, Import Policy, Export Policy, Incoterms, SWIFT
∎ Ability to drive and manage interaction with customers and Business Units
∎ Sufficient knowledge to operate Microsoft Office Applications: MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint
