Experience:
Graduation from a reputed university in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a relevant discipline.
Post-graduation or professional qualification will be considered an advantage.
CA (Course Complete), partly qualified, or newly qualified Chartered Accountants are strongly encouraged to apply.
No third division/class in any academic examination will be accepted.
Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in a bank or financial institution.
Experience in bank financial reporting, financial accounting, regulatory reporting, or audit will be preferred.
Practical knowledge of IFRS, Bangladesh Bank regulations, and banking financial statements will be an advantage.
Familiarity with Core Banking Systems (CBS) and financial reporting systems will be considered an advantage.
Strong analytical and numerical skills with excellent attention to detail.
Good understanding of financial statements, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet strict reporting and regulatory deadlines.
Proficiency in MS Excel and other MS Office applications.

United Commercial Bank PLC (UCB), one of Bangladesh’s leading and reputed commercial banks, is looking for a qualified, detail-oriented, and experienced professional to join its Financial Reporting Team under the Finance Division.
The role will be responsible for financial accounting and reporting, regulatory compliance, bond and fund administration, lease accounting, audit coordination, credit rating activities, financial analysis, and continuous improvement of reporting processes.
Prepare accurate and timely annual and quarterly standalone and consolidated financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting standards, Bangladesh Bank regulations, and other regulatory requirements.
Manage the Bank’s bond portfolio, including fund raising, interest calculation, and timely processing of interest and principal payments, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.
Manage and ensure accurate lease accounting in accordance with IFRS 16.
Prepare assigned sections of the Bank’s Annual Report and contribute to its continuous improvement in line with industry best practices.
Coordinate the Bank’s credit rating activities, including timely coordination with credit rating agencies for the Bank and its bonds.
Conduct financial and industry analysis based on quarterly and annual financial statements and interpret key trends, ratios, and industry parameters to support management decision-making.
Prepare and maintain financial statements and related reports for the Bank’s various funds accurately and within stipulated timelines.
Coordinate and facilitate external audits, regulatory audits, and inspections, ensuring timely resolution of queries and submission of required information.
Respond proactively to ad-hoc requirements and queries from regulatory authorities, management, auditors, and other stakeholders.
Identify opportunities for automation, process improvement, and enhancement of financial reporting and accounting processes.
Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the management from time to time.
