Responsibilities & Context:
Site Supervision:
- Oversee daily construction activities, including grading, clearing, and installation of utilities, and manage site work activities.
Quality Control:
- Implement quality control processes, conduct inspections, and ensure the project adheres to design specifications and quality standards.
Scheduling & Coordination:
- Develop and manage work charts and schedules, and coordinate the activities of various trades, contractors, and subcontractors.
Material Management:
- Prepare schedules of materials, monitor inventory, and manage material procurement and deliveries to the site.
Labour Management:
- Allot work to laborers and supervise their activities on site.
Reporting & Communication
- Progress Reporting:
- Prepare detailed daily, weekly, and monthly reports on site progress, cost analysis, and material and labor usage.
- Communication:
- Facilitate clear communication between stakeholders, including clients, architects, contractors, and internal teams.
- Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate records of site-related documents, such as spreadsheets, drawings, and photographs.
Budget & Resource Management
- Budget Adherence:
- Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure construction activities remain within budget constraints.
- Resource Allocation:
- Efficiently manage project resources, including equipment and materials, to ensure timely and cost-effective project execution.
Safety & Compliance
- Safety Enforcement:
- Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations and legislation on the construction site.
