The Premier Bank PLC. invites applications from dynamic, experienced, and visionary professional for the position of Chief Business Officer (CBO).
Job Responsibilities:
Define and execute the Bank’s long-term business strategy, aligned with the Board-approved vision, risk appetite, and growth roadmap.
Lead business planning across Retail, SME, Corporate, Trade Finance, and Non-Funded businesses to ensure sustainable and diversified revenue streams.
Drive balance sheet optimization by strategically managing asset growth, funding mix, pricing discipline, and cost of funds.
Spearhead product innovation, including structuring new financing, deposit, and trade solutions in collaboration with Legal, Risk, and Product teams.
Oversee market expansion strategy, including branch network optimization, alternative delivery channels, agent banking, digital banking initiatives, and ecosystem partnerships.
Ensure disciplined target setting and performance governance, translating strategic goals into measurable KPIs for branches, regions, and business units, with continuous monitoring and course correction.
Embed risk-adjusted performance management, ensuring growth initiatives comply with credit, market, liquidity, and operational risk frameworks approved by the Board.
Act as a key contributor to Asset–Liability Management by advising on pricing strategy, liquidity planning, interest rate sensitivity, and capital efficiency from a business perspective.
Strengthen large corporate and institutional relationships, including syndications, correspondent banking, and strategic alliances to expand trade and treasury-linked income.
Ensure cross-functional alignment between Business, Finance, Risk, Operations, and IT to enable seamless execution of strategic initiatives.
Lead succession planning and leadership development for Business Heads and Regional Leaders, ensuring continuity, accountability, and future-ready talent.
Promote a performance-driven and values-based culture, balancing profitability, customer trust, regulatory compliance, and corporate integrity.
Represent the Bank at strategic forums, including regulators, industry bodies, and key market stakeholders, enhancing institutional reputation.
Continuously assess market trends, competitor positioning, and regulatory developments, proactively adjusting business strategies to maintain competitive advantage.
