• Good knowledge of glass chemistry, raw materials, and melting processes.

• Hands-on experience with laboratory analytical instruments.

• Knowledge of XRF, ICP, UV-Vis, FTIR, or SEM will be an advantage.

• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Good communication and teamwork skills.

• Knowledge of laboratory safety and chemical handling procedures.

• Practical experience in Microsoft word and excel.

• Analyze and test raw materials, batch materials, and finished glass products.

• Conduct chemical and physical tests to ensure product quality.

• Perform glass composition analysis and support batch formulation.

• Operate laboratory instruments such as XRF, ICP, Flame Photometer, UV-Vis, and FTIR.

• Monitor and maintain the accuracy of laboratory test results.

• Support production teams in identifying and solving glass quality problems.

• Analyze defects such as bubbles, striations, and color variation.

• Support the optimization of glass melting and refining processes.

• Research and evaluate raw materials and additives for improving glass quality.

• Maintain laboratory records, test reports, batch records, and other technical documents.

• Ensure laboratory activities comply with applicable ISO, ASTM, BIS, and safety requirements.

• Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment as required.

• Follow proper chemical handling, laboratory safety, and PPE procedures.

• Provide technical support and guidance to laboratory and production personnel.

• Support continuous improvement of laboratory testing and glass manufacturing processes.
