∎ SSC or equivalent
Job Context:
∎ Bakers who strive to provide excellent baked items and service in an efficient, professional manner. Execute, and improve recipes, perform quality checks on ingredients and finished products, and decorations to enhance item presentation, and process orders from ACS staffs. Clean workstations and equipment, and perform other duties to ensure that ACS staffs needs are satisfied and the bakery is well stocked and operating smoothly.
∎ Efficient and friendly with a focus on food quality and customer satisfaction. Organized, decisive, attentive, and possess a strong understanding of baking techniques.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Designing and improving recipes.
∎ Measuring and combining ingredients and using mixers, blenders, heat sources, and other equipment to make baked goods, such as buns, cookies, bread, cakes, etc.
∎ Decorating and displaying finished products.
∎ Testing ingredients and finished goods to ensure that each item meets food safety and quality controls.
∎ Able to answer the questions, making recommendations, accepting orders and providing exceptional customer service.
∎ Keeping records relating to deliveries, inventory, and production levels.
∎ Cleaning and restocking workstations and ensuring that all equipment is sanitized and prepared for the next shift
∎ Prepares, produces, and bakes breakfast pastries, breads, rolls, and some desserts.
∎ Develops new products when necessary
∎ Sets time and speed controls for mixing machines, or blending machines, so that ingredients will be mixed or cooked according to instructions.
∎ Measures or weigh flour or other ingredients to prepare batters, doughs, fillings, or whipped cream, using scales or graduated containers.
∎ Prepare garnishes as needed for baked goods.
∎ Maintains adequate supply of all prepared products on hand and ensures the proper storage and refrigeration.
∎ Keeps spoilage/waste to a minimum by ordering and utilizing proper quantities and rotating products.
∎ Utilizes all leftovers into usable products.
∎ Cleans, breaks down, and puts away all baking equipment including: ovens, mixers, proofer, floors, freezer, and refrigerators
∎ Keeps work areas sanitary by mopping floors and wiping counters to immediately clean up any spills.
∎ Closely monitor baking process to ensure final products meet set standards.
Additional Requirements:

∎ Demonstrated knowledge of and skill in ability to safely and effectively operate standard foodservice equipment
