Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor/ Masters in any discipline.
∎ B.Sc in Environmental Science from any reputed university preferred.
Experience Requirements:
∎ 5 to 7 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Identify and establish key sustainability trends for the upcoming season and prepare key trend presentations.
∎ Track, monitor and report on each department / division's sustainability goals progress in line with the broader sustainability strategy.
∎ Analyze and interpret sustainability results and data to proactively drive actions, provide solutions and improvement.
∎ Support sustainability targets through management of governance and documentation process, including but not exclusive to Better Cotton, HIGG / ZDHC, Chemical safety and Carbon neutrality.
∎ Understand all supplier and local programs and focus strategically drive new & innovative sustainability programs to learn and drive improvements for the future.
∎ Drive the strategy to be an end-to-end net zero carbon emissions business, engaging key stakeholders and seeking out new opportunities to reduce our CO2 emission.
∎ Create sustainability knowledge and training across all levels and functions of the team - UK & Local.
∎ Work with quality team and suppliers to support the integrity of sustainable product claims by reviewing verification documents, standards and utilizing key certifications to ensure substantiation of sustainability claims
∎ Develop quarterly reports in social and environmental sustainability
∎ Horizon scanning for changes in Sustainability legislation
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 25 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Passion for sustainability and desire to make a difference to how the future fashion operating model.
∎ Good knowledge & experience in apparel manufacturing and sourcing
∎ Ideally previous related work experience / internships in sustainability, supply chain, product development, fabric/raw material and corporate social responsibility in the apparel industry preferred
∎ Carbon emissions knowledge and understanding key.
∎ Up to date with the latest sustainability trends, best practices, and textile processes.
∎ Ability to build clear, confident, positive communication with company colleagues and suppliers with the ability to form relationships, influence, and work collaboratively across the business
∎ Technology skills and experience to develop robust tracking
∎ Good interpersonal, influencing, listening, organizational, presentation and decision-making skills
∎ Self-motivated and able to work under pressure, quickly and efficiently
∎ Excellent communication skills & fluent in English - written & verbal
∎ Good time management
