Job Summary:

The Head of Operations will oversee and lead the entire operations of the woven denim garments manufacturing unit, ensuring optimum efficiency, productivity, quality, compliance, and on-time delivery. This role requires strong leadership to align production, planning, quality, supply chain, and workforce management with the company’s business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Planning & Leadership

• Develop and implement operational strategies to meet company’s production targets and growth objectives.

• Lead, guide, and mentor departmental managers (Production, Cutting, Sewing, Washing, IE, Planning, Quality etc.).

• Drive process excellence, efficiency improvements, and cost optimization across all functions.

2. Production & Operations Management

• Plan, organize, and oversee daily production activities to achieve shipment deadlines.

• Ensure optimum utilization of machinery, manpower, and resources.

• Monitor production KPIs (efficiency, productivity, rejection rates, on-time delivery).

• Resolve production bottlenecks and ensure smooth workflow across sewing, washing, finishing, and packing.

3. Quality & Compliance

• Maintain international quality standards for woven denim garments.

• Work closely with Quality Assurance teams to ensure customer requirements are met.

• Ensure compliance with buyer COCs, local labor laws, and safety standards.

4. Supply Chain & Inventory Management

• Coordinate with procurement, fabric, trims, and accessories teams to ensure on-time material availability.

• Optimize inventory levels to reduce lead time and avoid excess stock.

• Strengthen vendor management and relationships with key suppliers.

5. Planning & Coordination

• Collaborate with the merchandising and planning teams for effective capacity allocation.

• Review and approve production plans to ensure timely shipment delivery.

• Coordinate with washing, finishing, and logistics for smooth execution.

6. People Management

• Develop strong second-line leadership within operations.

• Ensure proper training, skill development, and disciplinary management.

• Lead, mentor & motivate a large workforce to build a performance driven culture.

7. Reporting & Communication

• Regularly report operational performance, risks, and improvements to top management.

• Act as a bridge between management and ground-level teams.

• Ensure transparent communication and coordination across all departments.
