Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Accomplishing human resource strategies by determining accountabilities; policies and procedures; implementing recruitment, selection, orientation, training, counseling and communication programs; planning, monitoring; development, placement, Recruitment & Staffing. Appraising, reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation strategies.
∎ Provide technical expertise on HR issues to staff and management. Coach and train operational departments on various aspects of the business from Human Resource perspective.
∎ Establishes and leads the standard recruiting and hiring practices and procedures necessary to recruit and hire a superior workforce.
∎ Establishes a succession planning system in which the management can promote internally to fulfill vacant positions
∎ Advising on pay and other remuneration issues, including promotion and benefits.
∎ Dealing with grievances and implementing disciplinary procedures.
∎ Conducts investigations when employee complaints or concerns are brought forth.
∎ Monitors and advises employees in the progressive discipline system of the company. Monitors the implementation of a performance improvement process with non-performing employees.
∎ Reviews, guides, and approves management recommendations for employment terminations.
∎ Ensures planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee work results for work performance assessment and salary increment.
∎ Leads competitive market research to establish pay practices and pay bands that help to recruit and retain superior staff.
∎ Recommends changes in benefits offered, especially new benefits aimed at employee satisfaction and retention.
∎ Protects the interests of employees and the company in accordance with company Human Resources policies and governmental laws and regulations.
∎ Leads strategic Human Resources practices and objectives that will provide an employee-oriented, high-performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity, and standards; goal attainment, and the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior workforce.
∎ Responsible for all HR issues related to plant operation and report to Chief Human Resource Officer.
∎ Working closely with various departments, increasingly in a consultancy role, assisting line managers to understand and implement policies and procedures.
∎ Developing and implementing policies on issues like working conditions, equal opportunities, disciplinary procedures and absence management by concern of Chief Human Resource Officer.
∎ Undertaking regular salary reviews.
∎ Interpreting and advising on employment law.
∎ Developing with line managers HR planning strategies which consider immediate and long-term staff requirements.
∎ Planning, and sometimes delivering, training - including inductions for new staff.
∎ Any other task assigned by management.
