Educational Requirements:
∎ Graduate in Civil Engineering. At least 3 years working experience with the similar field mainly in development fields with International /National NGOs/UN.

Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 3 year(s)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Prepare design and construction specifications for structural projects works and supervise activities of contractors/ project staffs at construction sites.
∎ Ensure the quality control and use of quality materials to be used for construction activities as per project/organization standard as well as guidelines.
∎ Prepare scope of works, check calculation with specifications, bills of quantities (BoQ) for contract work packages or project relevant works.
∎ Assist and guidance the contractors/partners/project staffs in resolving the technical issues.
∎ Visit field frequently for identifying the sites having need for further fabrication, modification as well as maintaining proper file management for further and future reference.
∎ Represent BRAC in different (filed/Officer/management) coordination forums for the Shelter project/other project/programme, Donor/ ISCG (Inter Sector Coordination Group), and liaise with national and local authorities, INGOs and other Sectors as and when required.
∎ Assist and support Sector lead, Project Manager and Technical Staffs in preparation of different draft and new initiatives related to the FDMN and also in Host Community.
∎ Act as a key source person for new initiatives and innovation
∎ Maintain close relationship and contact with relevant management and sector specially procurement, finance, Admin, logistic, communication unit/department in organization and SMS, GoB Officials, donor, community, and stakeholders outside of the organization.
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance, and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.

Additional Requirements:
∎ KNOWLEDGE: BRAC’s values and mission, development sector, global development scenario to identify funding trends, financial and grants management, donor agencies, basic computer knowledge on MS office applications.
∎ SKILLS: Budgeting, communication, researching, writing, monitoring and evaluating, auditing, project management, project implementation
∎ COMPETENCIES: Facilitating group meetings, managing timelines, oral and written fluency in both Bangla and English, handling critical issues with relevant stakeholders

Salary: Negotiable
