Educational Requirements:
∎ Bsc in Civil Engineering
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 2 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Check and ensure the quality and quantity of construction materials like Shelter building materials, Site Improvement construction materials and Steel frame structure etc.
∎ Perform relevant test of Bricks, Cement, Sand, Bamboo, Timber, Steel and construction materials as well as ensure properly maintain and operations of the store like safe receive, storage, retrieval and timely dispatch and uses of the materials.
∎ Train staffs (Technical Officer-Shelter) on how the check the quality of construction materials like Field test of Bricks, Cement, Sand and relevant materials through on the job training in line with sector guidance and slandered.
∎ Visit frequently field on Shelter and Site Improvement during and after construction work and provided feedback for necessary improvement interims of specification, drawing and design.
∎ Prepare report on materials quality and quantity of Shelter and Site Improvement activates and submit to Sector Lead-Shelter/NFI.
∎ Maintain close relationship and contact with relevant managements and sectors specially Procurements, Finances, Admin and Logistics, within organization and Site Management, GoB officials, community and stakeholders outside of organization.
∎ Ensure the safety of colleagues, volunteers and beneficiaries from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation.
∎ Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
Additional Requirements:
∎ BRAC’s values and mission, development sector, global development scenario to identify funding trends, financial and grants management, donor agencies, basic computer knowledge on MS office applications.
∎ Budgeting, communication, researching, writing, monitoring and evaluating, auditing, project management, project implementation
∎ Facilitating group meetings, managing timelines, oral and written fluency in both Bangla and English, handling critical issues with relevant stakeholders
