Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Conduct monitoring on site selection, needs assessment process, materials distribution and follow-up on shelters/site improvement construction/others interventions, labours bills payment process, Bamboo treatment process, warehouses/ stores including NFI distribution (if required) to ensure the project intervention implementation are being done as per Project Management and Implementation guidelines (PMIG).
∎ Facilitate and identify the community/HHs needs-gaps, obstacles, opportunities and most appropriate project interventions through field observation, Focus Group Discussion (FGD), Key Informant Interview (KII), Community consultation and in collaboration with Camps people, Mahji and other stakeholders as well as provide supportive supervision and feedback for implementing the interventions smoothly.
∎ Conduct Survey, FGD, KII and Community Consultation questionnaires on project intervention for FA, TO and conduct field orientation which will enhances the knowledge and skills of the targeted peoples.
∎ Capacity Building for staff through on the job training (OJT) on how to conduct a monitoring visit/program & documents check/report writing to ensure program quality.
∎ Keep and maintain daily activities records for tacking and prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, half yearly and project closing report submit to Manager-KM and M&E-shelter.
∎ Assists to DPM-M&E-shelter for Monitoring and Reporting of the Shelter and site improvement activities along with Food & Non-Food items and develop/review of yearly activity plan, monitoring plan and related activities etc.
∎ Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
∎ This position is responsible to assist DPM-M&E-Shelter & Site Improvement and Sector Lead-Shelter regarding Shelter planning, design, management and implementation of Shelter and Site Improvement intervention in line with monitoring, reporting and Evaluation. Also responsible for management, implementation and supervision of Shelter and Site Improvement activities of BRAC Shelter Project in line with monitoring and reporting under HCMP in his/her assigned working areas expending times/days to 90% in fields and 10% in official works. He/she will be reportable to the Manager – KM & M&E, Shelter & SD and Sector Lead-Shelter for execution of his duties.
