MG Properties Limited (a Mohammadi Group company) is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Manager – Procurement to join its dynamic team in the real estate industry, responsible for driving efficient sourcing, vendor management, and cost-effective procurement strategies across its operations. The role involves managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, ensuring timely delivery of quality materials and services, and maintaining compliance with company policies and industry standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of procurement principles, contract management, and market analysis, with hands-on experience in streamlining supply chain processes. A proven track record in the real estate or construction sector will be highly valued.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end procurement of construction materials, equipment, and services.
- Review, check, and rectify Material Purchase Requisitions (MPRs) before execution.
- Conduct regular market visits (at least 2–3 times per week) to monitor product pricing, quality, supplier credibility, and identify market trends.
- Prepare and evaluate Comparative Statements (CS) for approval to ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Check and forward daily material purchase schedules and purchase orders.
- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with reliable suppliers to ensure quality, cost, and timely delivery.
- Maintain and update supplier database, conduct supplier evaluations, and ensure strong vendor relationships.
- Monitor price fluctuations and explore alternative sourcing opportunities for cost savings.
- Coordinate with Project, Engineering, Finance, and other departments to ensure smooth material flow.
- Ensure timely processing of bills and invoices without discrepancies and forward to Accounts.
- Prepare department related formats, necessary reports, letters, and maintain proper record-keeping.
- Support management in developing procurement strategies and cost-control initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, standards, and ethical practices.
- Visit factories and sites for brand selection, supplier assessments, and quality assurance.
- Resolve procurement-related operational problems through decision-making and close monitoring.
