Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Monitor and control kiln operations to ensure optimal performance, energy efficiency, and product consistency.
∎ Assist in designing and maintaining firing schedules and temperature profiles tailored to various product specifications.
∎ Ensure uniform firing to achieve desired product quality standards and minimize defects.
∎ Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities to minimize downtime.
∎ Diagnose and resolve issues related to kiln performance, refractory lining, burners, and other components.
∎ Maintain an up-to-date inventory of critical spare parts, consumables, and tools required for kiln maintenance.
∎ Identify opportunities for process optimization to improve productivity, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
∎ Implement initiatives to reduce energy consumption and environmental impact of kiln operations.
∎ Supervise kiln operators and technicians, providing guidance and training as required.
∎ Ensure adherence to safety protocols and standards by all team members.
∎ Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
∎ Maintain accurate records of kiln parameters, production data, and maintenance activities.
∎ Prepare and submit regular reports on kiln performance, energy usage, and downtime.
∎ Work closely with the production, quality control, and maintenance teams to align kiln operations with overall production goals.
∎ Communicate effectively with the Manager (Kiln) regarding operational challenges and improvements.
∎ The Assistant Manager (Kiln) will support the Manager (Kiln) in overseeing the efficient operation and maintenance of kilns used in ceramic tiles manufacturing. This role ensures optimal kiln performance, adherence to production schedules, and compliance with quality standards.
